Since 2007 I have taught sociology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. A long time ago, I studied economics at Harvard and sociology at Berkeley, and I've also taught at Berkeley, Princeton, Columbia, the New School, and NYU. For fun I do things like edit the Oxford Studies in Culture and Politics and sit on the prize committee of the PROSE awards.
